This tribute is to a Veteran who would never bring credit upon himself. Chuck Bruen, Regional OEF/OIF Manager for the Veteran Administration, is a hidden hero that continues to selflessly serve our hurt and wounded veterans around the clock.
Chuck has for many years provided dedicated and tireless service to the hurt and wounded veterans of our country and the state of Colorado. Chuck has been called “hero” by countless Veterans and their families, having assured time and time again, that a Veterans service is honored first and foremost, by assisting them in obtaining care and benefits they have earned. His impact on our communities has been immeasurable.
Chuck has always proudly taken a stand to do what is right rather than what is easy, and in the spirit of American military service, Chuck never leaves a veteran behind. It is apparent, that Chuck has never looked at his duties as just a job, and with a deep conviction goes over and above to make sure each wounded warrior is treated with respect and dignity. This dedication even means working very late or right through a weekend.
In addition to his outstanding direct service to veterans, Chuck also tirelessly educates large groups of veterans, families, and caregivers on VA benefits. Chuck even takes individual calls from case managers to problem solve complex cases. His care and concern, his expertise, has been directly linked to multitudes of caregiver success with clients.
Chuck Bruen has distinguished himself through selfless service that has gone largely unrecognized. This tribute is to recognize those sacrifices, though he has never looked at his service as anything more than doing what is right. Thank you Chuck!
