About Jose Santiago
Jose is an Army veteran and a traumatic brain injury survivor. He has been receiving services through Operation TBI Freedom and Colorado Connections to help him recover from his injuries. Earlier this summer, he became interested in biking as a way to get out more and get exercise, so Colorado Connections helped him purchase a bicycle and helmet. Now Jose regularly rides 20-40 miles a day on his bike, and he has started competing in bike races across the country. In August he completed the 6-day, 330-mile Rocky Mountain Challenge bike ride that started in Cheyenne, WY, and ended at Ft. Carson. Wishing you good travels in all your future bike races!
