Forced out of the Army because of debilitating physical problems, Jennifer Malinski said she spent the next eight years staring at the walls in her house.
She finally forced herself out and into the working world to set an example for her son.
But she remembers how hard and lonely it was, and she was struck Monday when she heard other medically retired veterans talk of similar problems.
"I'm not the only one who went through this," she said.
